Race Course for the  Mad City 100K

Inaugural Race: Saturday April 7th, 2007

General course description:

The race will consist of 10 laps of a 10K loop. The loop is Madison's most popular 10K race course, which takes runners along the shore of Lake Wingra, through scenic neighborhoods, and through the University of Wisconsin Arboretum.

The race will start at 6:30 a.m.(dawn). The course will be open for 13 hours, and will officially close at 7:30 p.m.(sunset).

Permanent mile markers are in place. About half of the course is flat and the other half has gentle hills. There will be two aid stations per 10K loop - one at the start/finish area and the other at the 5K mark.

We will have chip timing with split times at every 5K and 10K. Timing clocks will be located at the 5K and 10K marks on the loop. Timing services to be provided by Harrier Software Solutions, LLC, Sports Timing and Data Services, Jon Krupa, owner.
