Timo Praises Race Webcast through RunRace

[Race Director: Timo]
For the Mad City 100K this was our 2nd year as a race, 2nd year hosting the USATF 100Km National Championship, and 2nd year using the services of RunRace.net. We've come to depend upon RunRace to handle all of our pre-race registration in a professional and very user-friendly manner... it's easy for our runners, race committee, and features an on-line public listing of "Who's Registered"... which, runners really like to check in the days leading up to our race.

This year we also made use of the Webcast provided by RunRace. Our committee member Shirley Crocker, armed with her lap top & aircard, kept us connected to the internet near our start / finish area. This allowed us to feed our Webcast with timely Blog Entries, Participant Positioning, Checkpoint Splits, and even race images to our Photo Gallery.

As the race unfolded, our spectators & volunteers were getting calls, hearing from their friends and family about conditions, runner progress and photos published on the Webcast... it was incredible!

And apparently the ultra world was watching... RunRace reported an increase of 15 times their normal website traffic during our race.

As race director of the Mad City 100K and Kettle Moraine 100 Endurance Runs I highly recommend the services of RunRace. They're tech savvy, they're experienced runners, enthusiastic and they help make running our race much more fun!
